How to Add a Data Entry Form in Excel

Why Excel makes this hard
Excel still has a Data Form — but it's buried. The Form command was dropped from the ribbon years ago, so you have to dig into File ▸ Options and add it to the Quick Access Toolbar yourself before you can even open it. Even then it only works on a single contiguous range, and on Excel for the web it isn't available at all. So most people just type into cells directly — which on a wide table means constant horizontal scrolling and mis-keyed columns.
